This is an extremely relaxing and charming place to stay. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. The decor is charming and the gardens are really lovely. Best of all is the swimming pool, which is extremely stylish with excellent service. We really enjoyed dinner at Lutie’s, where the food was fresh, creative and truly delicious. The location worked very well for us as it is a green and peaceful spot but only 10 minutes from downtown. The only weak spot was breakfast, where both the food selection and the service were underwhelming.

My husband and I loved our stay here! The room was stunning with a fun vintage vibe and beautiful design. Everything was spotless down to the crisp sheets in the four poster bed. The property was gorgeous, and food at the Mansion was delicious!!! My husband also loved the Mercedes house cars to tour Austin. And the service was friendly and helpful- we appreciated being able to do late checkout. Thank you for a relaxing stay on our babymoon! We will cherish the memory of our time here and hope to be back.

I received a call before my arrival so that they could prepare. I was just traveling to visit a resident of Austin. The resort itself is spectacular. Steeped in history and in excellent condition. The room was beautiful and quiet. Beautiful touches throughout. The staff was all very friendly and very helpful. 5 out of 5 stars. Will definitely be returning.

I was so impressed with my visit to the iconic Commodore Perry Estate. This is a Auberge Resort and carries a fun local essence perfectly blended with the spirit of the Auberge brand. This property is nestled just a few minutes from the heart of Austin and offers a serene and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Noah, the valet, was quick to service and discreet with his communication to the front desk to notify them of my arrival. Upon entering the lobby, you immediately feel the rich history of the house with thoughtful offerings to ensure a comfortable arrival. Hakan checked me in and I did arrive early so my room was not ready, as I was expecting. My reservation did note that I was a business traveler and this is where they really exceeded expectations with have a quiet space ready for me to sit down and work while I waited for my room. The fresh apple cider was a very nice touch too. I met with a coworker for lunch on the patio and enjoyed a huge tasty cold cut sandwich, strong hot coffee and local veggies. Loved the presentation. The hotel uses a texting app to interact with guests without being intrusive. I was notified of my room being ready and Amanda gave me a thorough introduction to the property and my room while acknowledging subtle details from my reservation information. The anticipatory service was timely and well coordinated behind the scenes. I had a standard room and they are very spacious with high quality furniture, amenities and decor. They are selling estate pieces and it was so fun picking out a piece of the estate to bring home with me. Dinner in the Mansion dining room was superb. I had to get the fried chicken which was perfectly cooked with a unique Commodore Perry twist. Also recommend the hush puppies! I unfortunately was working most of this visit but did see a clean fully equipped gym and plenty of fun communal spaces for guests to have privacy amongst themselves. It’s certainly worth walking around the property and we got to meet, Blake, the house sheep! Such a cool aspect that you don’t really see at resorts. My departure came all too soon and the staff was prepared with service at every step from luggage assistance and having my car ready to go with waters inside. The details are what seperate good hotels and the great ones. My stay was so memorable and I fondly look on those memories. Can’t wait to return! It was a disappointing first Auberge stay. The service was a notch below what I expected, particularly at the front desk. On the positive side, the architecture is beautiful and the interiors are well-designed. The property is interesting, and likely nicer in the summer, but felt small as half of the land is empty and in disarray.

I have had the chance to stay at several Auberge properties (White Barn Inn, Del Mar) this one isn’t up to the same level. This is not a resort. It is a small property in a sketchy neighborhood. A nice view of the HEB parking lot. Property and decor is very well done. Luttie’s the restaurant is one of the best meals on Austin. That said, this hotel staff seems to be mailing it in. Not once or twice, but for the entire long weekend, they seem to be understaffed and unprofessional. The Mansion staff were rude. Always insisted they didn’t have tables and the front desk staff has assured us no reservations were required. (when the place we near empty). The front desk and valet and doormen seems to be absent most of the time. All of this would be fine up the road at a 3 star location. Not at this price point and not at these rates. If you are heading to Austin. There are other first class properties. Hopefully - the leadership and investors of the Commodore Perry will get the services up to the level that delivers on the Auberge brand promise.

The overall hotel is stunning and very clean with great service. The reason for the overall low rating comes when comparing it to other 5 star accusations and how special they make our stay versus how we felt at the Commodore Perry Estate.

Italian retreat in the heart of Austin. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the staff is so warm, just like the fireplace in the library. The food is dreamy, literally can’t stop thinking about the lime chia pudding I had for breakfast, 2 days in a row! They provide free bikes, wear good sneakers that you don’t mind getting dirty, there is a bike path around the golf course and it was a little more off roaring than expected. They also provide a beautiful Mercedes to borrow for a couples of hours to get around town.

I've been going to Austin for over 20 years and even lived there part time during Covid. I wasn't aware that this estate even existed until I heard about it being renovated as a hotel... but still never ventured to this neighborhood. Then we made a decision without much notice recently to make a 1-night staycation, and WOW. It was hard to process that this property exists in the middle of the city. The restored original buildings are just spectacular, and the newer structures were very well designed to blend in. The interior design is unique, tasteful, and classic. We loved having drinks on the patio overlooking the grounds. It is funny to look across the gardens and see the Goodyear auto service and Jo's coffee sign out in the distance next to the signal and traffic, but it comes with the territory when a city grows up around a property like this. The staff was very welcoming and helpful... especially at the reception desk. Our dinner at Lutie's was a wonderful experience, especially considering it was a 2-minute walk from the room and we didn't have to leave the property. The pool wasn't open but we'll enjoy that on a future visit. All in all, I think we just found our favorite new Texas staycation destination that keeps us out of an airport and close to home while feeling like we really got away. Can't wait to return!
