This hotel was pretty average. I wouldn't say it is good, nor would I say it's bad. We stayed here for a few days while visiting Austin and since we did not spend much time in the room, it suited us well.
It is outdated and our room smelled damp/musty (but the humidity was high, so it wasn't a huge deal. I wouldn't stay it was the cleanest, but it was okay. Blow dryer didn't work - not a big deal.
The pool was ok. You need to have a key to get in it, which was nice to keep the few odd ducks out of it. The hot tub didn't seem to have its jets working, but for a quick dip and a cool off it was fine.
Pros
-good price
-A/C worked well
-The staff was friendly
-Outdoor pool
Cons
-Outdated
-Breakfast was a grab-and-go (which is ok) but it was the same granola bar and cookies every day
-A few strange people around, but not to the point that I felt unsafe.
If you plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel, this probably isn't for you. It is a good place to just lay your head for the night in between exploring the city.
