Enter through the front door into the open living and dining area with ample space to gather for dinner or enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV located in the living room. Utilize the newly renovated and thoughtfully curated kitchen to whip up a meal for the group. The kitchen is fully equipped and features stainless steel appliances, ample counter space and natural light from the outdoors! There are two bedrooms to choose from - each with a queen bed, luxury linens and and inviting decor. The primary bedroom provides a desk space, perfect for the traveling worker! The two bedrooms share a full bathroom equipped with a shower and a bath tub - making it easy for a family getaway. This space will not disappoint for you next family or group getaway! For even more convenience, the space is located within walking distance of some of the best spots in Austin! - Sa-Ten Coffee & Eats: Open daily from 7am to 9pm - Bambino: wonderful pizza with a full bar - open for lunch and dinner - Marcelino's: Just around the corner from Casa Cherico! This spot is open Monday-Friday 7am-1pm, and Saturdays 8am-1pm - Austin Eastciders: Cool spot for craft ciders! - OMG Sqee Dessert Shop: Desserts! Also, this spot was featured in the Netflix show "Queer Eye" Enjoy the indoors and outdoors of this lovely spot in an amazing location! Need a little extra space? There is also a Casita - room for 2 additional guests - located on property for rent! Inquire through Portoro directly to see if the space is available. Getting Around: Navigating Austin from this convenient location is easily done on foot or by bike. It’s flat as a pancake on this side of town and there are numerous, excellent bike routes including quick access to the Hike and Bike Trail that spans over 18 miles around the Colorado River. Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ridesharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. The airport is just 15 minutes away. The Neighborhood: The east side of Austin, with its industrial-chic brewpubs, craft cocktail lounges and live-music rooms, picks up the pace after dark. Art galleries, vintage boutiques, bike shops and coffee houses mix with Mexican restaurants and BBQ joints. The Tejano Walking Trail honors the neighborhood’s music pioneers, while the Mexican-American Cultural Center stands nearby in the Rainey Street Historic District. Just a short drive away are delicious venues like Bufalina Pizza, Launderette, La Barbecue, Oseyo or Kemuri Tatsu-Ya. Other spots include coffee at Lou’s or Flat Track, cold beer at Blue Owl Brewing or East Side Tavern, cocktails at High Noon and so much more. When it is possible to check in early or checkout late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one-hour window within our standard times.
