甜蜜木槿家庭旅館

Wij hebben een fijn verblijf in het tuinhuis van Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast gehad. We zijn er zeer gastvrij ontvangen en konden de auto zorgeloos parkeren. Dat maakte het een heerlijke startplek voor onze rondreis. De accommodatie is goed uitgerust met een fijne badkamer, zithoek, keuken en een ruim tweepersoonsbed op de vide. In de ochtend en avond genoten we van het terras buiten met uitzocht op de tuin. We hebben ook twee keer gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt in de B&B. Dat was erg goed verzorgd! Het ligt in een prachtige groene omgeving vlakbij Krog Street Market (als het niet te warm buiten is, is dit goed te lopen). Krog Street Market ligt aan de prachtige Urban Belt line: mooi aangelegde voetgangers en fietsverbinding naar de stad Atlanta.

Well, it was the name that grabbed our attention initially, but after spending three nights at Sugar magnolia, it was the people we met that made our stay memorable. Oh sure the morning meals are superb but the cook/server put it over the top. Oh sure, settling in for an afternoon read in the parlor is refreshing, but talking to the owner’s mother as she stocks the ice bucket makes it a treat. Sure, a quaint yard and garden brings piece, but talking to the owner about how all that came about puts the cherry on top. Then there is the B&B itself….lovely, picturesque and renovated for comfort is all I can say.

We spent one night and it was wonderful. Passing through Atlanta and stopped to see our daughter who recommended it. Breakfast was delicious! Rooms were clean and welcoming! We will be back!! The Aviary room was beautiful!

First of all, Kathryn is a ‚jewel‘ - cummunicative, helpful and tries to do her best and in case one is interested in old houses, old-fashioned interieur and so on, then it could be your accomodation. But we expected something different. We didn‘t want to stay in such an old cottage house and take a shower in a bathroom from a century ago. We are also not friends of having breakfast with people we do not know - the breakfast is in a dining-room in the main house and all the people staying in the B&B have breakfast at the same time. Unfortunately, there was no communication at the table and it felt quite strange. The main house seems to be full of private stuff of the owners. Lastly, sleeping in the cottage with a group of 3 is nearly impossible due to the ‚sofa-bed’ and the double bed in the sticky and very warm attic. All in all, we were not satisfied…sorry, Kathryn

Wow, amazing place to stay! Probably one of my favourite places I've stayed. The home is beautiful, service great and friendly. Nice breakfasts. Lovely area with lots of places to eat within a 10 min walk. No problems walking around anywhere in Atlanta, think we walked about 20 miles in 3 days! If you get to stay here, you are very very lucky.

Great location, wonderful breakfast, comfortable room and a delightful innkeeper…all in a fabulous Victorian house with high ceilings, spacious rooms and amazing porches to sit and relax in a beautiful neighborhood. Will stay again!
