Eclectic hotel located in historic building. Originally a department store; owners maintained some of the look from back in the day. Humongous room, great furnishings , comfortable. Felt like we were in someone’s fab apartment, not hotel room. Location is superb. Walking distance to everything, felt totally safe walking about. Staff super friendly, especially the valet department. Car quickly retrieved upon request, which is uncanny since parking space / areas is sp****. Valet attendants … great job. Restaurant located downstairs is great. One of the best meals we had was room service. Dinner & brunch both great meals. Definitely would recommend staying at the Haywood.

This hotel was pretty outdated, the ceiling in the common area on our floor was severely water damaged. The grout in the shower was stained and the shower leaked under the door all over the floor. At 2:00 am we were woken up by an extremely loud noise, we thought it was some kind of alarm. It went on long enough that I got dressed thinking we were going to be asked to leave, we had to call the front desk to find out what was going on. They told us it would be off in 5 minutes, so it appeared it had happened before, we never found out what it was. My husband thought it might be some kind of pressure built up in the pipes, it was VERY SCARY loud. Several people on our floor were in the common area trying to find out what the noise was. I will say the room and bathroom was huge, but I have stayed in much nicer places. This hotel was not cheap, you’re obviously paying for the location, which is great.

I am a world traveler and have stayed at many hotels. This is by far the most stunning hotel I’ve ever been at. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the minute I got there. Check in was a breeze. The room was beautiful and clean. I’m fully obsessed with this hotel.

We were in Asheville for a quiet get away and we sure got it at Haywood Park Hotel. We really enjoyed the massive king suite looking out at Downtown. We were close to everything. I highly recommend staying at ***wood Park.

Staff was always friendly and helpful. I had a tv issue and wanted to watch a football game. Sunday pm staff went above and beyond, eventually changing out the tv. The room was huge and clean. It’s a unique spot in a perfect location for a downtown Asheville stay.

The Haywood is an excellent location, close to everything! The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. Front desk could have been more friendly as we walked by each day. Just a simple “ hello”, would have been nice, when not busy. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return to Asheville again! Fabulous place to visit!!

I love Haywood Park Hotel. Period. I've stayed at several of the other downtown hotels, but there's something special to be said about the smaller hotel hovering beneath the trees right smack in the center in town. One, you feel apart of the town and two, there is a warmer atmosphere being located right along the sidewalk with the chocolatier, the locally-owned bookshop, the cafes, and park. How lovely to arrive in the lobby and be met with a glass of champagne and set off the last morning with a breakfast snack, ... well, it has that sense of 'old friends.' This was my third stay, and I've stayed at 3 others within throwing distance, and I won't look back. It wasn't that they weren't nice, indeed they were, but who else has a Model T and a grand piano in their lobby? And a peephole into the chocolatier's kitchen! O! The room? Clean to a 't' and enough room that we could have brought our rowdy border collies ... but, it was quiet time for us when it came time to pull the drapes and call it a night. We pleasantly woke to a busker playing the steel pans. Gotta love that Asheville!

This is a great hotel in downtown Asheville with large suites. The building was formerly a department store and the hotel maintains some if that character. Valet parking is available and shopping and restaurants are all walking distance. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

It was great, they were doing some renovations so the front entrance was chaotic but expected. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly, and service was great. Val-let needs work, it’s the easiest parking option, but sometimes it’s a bit of a wait.
