阿魯幹姆貝度假村(Arugambay Resort)

Wir haben 5 Nächte im Hideaway übernachtet. Zwei davon gab es in der direkten Nachbarschaft eine sehr laute Party. Bei einer Party war der Bass so stark, dass alles im Zimmer vibriert hat. Das heisst leider haben meine Ohrstöpsel und Noisecancling nicht geholfen. Mir ist bewusst, dass das Hideaway darauf keinen Einfluss hat. Trotzdem finde ich es für Personen, die nach Entspannung und gutem Schlaf suchen, wichtig dies zu wissen, da der Preis für die Räume nicht gerade billig ist. Die Zimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet. Toll ist, dass man immer gefiltertetes Wasser erhält. Das Frühstück ist sehr schön angerichtet und lecker. Der Kaffee ist top. Die Portion beim "Frühstücksspecial" könnte noch etwas grösser sein. Für fast 200 Dollar pro Übernachtung, bin ich der Meinung, dass man beim Frühstück sowohl einen Fruchtsaft als auch einen Kaffee erhalten sollte. Der Ausflug mit dem Jeep in den Nationalpark war eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Der Guide wusste viel Spannendes zu berichtet. Die Kommunikation hat sehr gut funktioniert.

I spent 3 weeks at Hideaway in January as this was the venue of a Yoga Teacher training. I could not have wished for a best place! I immediately felt at home, the facilities have all comforts but remain very cozy, the staff is super helpful, kind, always smiling and doing their best, and the food...I've never eaten so well in my life! We were on a vegetarian diet and the variety of creativity of the chef were unparalleled!

An utterly delightful resort/hotel. I stayed in a bungalow set in the beautifully curated gardens. Aircon, ceiling fan, very comfortable bed, and great shower. I was on full board for three weeks and the food was exceptional, always. The service from everyone was impeccable. I loved it so much I shall be returning.

I recently ran a Yoga Training at Hideaway resort in arugambay and it was beyond all of our expectations. The accommodation is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and luxurious, and the staff is top notch. Every meal was fresh end consciously prepared, and absolutely delicious. We were here with 17 people, and everyone commented on how incredible the staff was. They went out of their way at every turn to make sure we had everything that we needed and more, we couldn’t be more grateful. We will definitely come back

Best coffee in Arugam Bay and very high quality food that's well thought through, we came here every day! Also very friendly staff, we enjoyed talking to them while sipping our cappuccinos. We also loved the green and laid back atmosphere with the indirect lights, while listening to the best music in town. As you walk through the hotel area to get to the restrooms, you can see immediately how cozy of a vibe the rest of the resort has, if even the restrooms follow a beautifully minimalistic and modern concept, how nice must the rest be. Five stars for the cafe / restaurant, as this is the only thing we can properly judge through experience.

We found our little hideaway in a magical corner of Sri Lanka. From the warm welcome, comfy rooms and warm cafe hospitality we enjoyed every part of what Hideaway offers. The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious and substantial - full of the very best of Sri Lankan ingredients and flavours and the staff always friendly. We gamely attempted Aero Yoga - which was a new but incredible experience for all of us and were indulged in the most wonderful massages. We will always dream about early morning surfing (lessons!) and coming back to the the hideaway for our breakfast juices and hearty breakfasts. The rooms doesn’t stand in the standard and for sure doesn’t worth the price. We couldn’t close the door of the room, we had a flood in the room and a lot of noise, no clean towels or linens and for sure the management of the hotel doesn’t understand how to handle problematic situations and make you feel uncomfortable when you mention the problems. I talked personally with the owner of the hotel and the response of her was ridiculous (no new linens because of COVID, meanwhile everywhere else is new and clean and etc..) The restaurant of the hotel is very good and also the location. The staff are nice but you don’t get a felling of home, we moved out asap.

A place with a really great vibe, relaxed bohemian cafe with excellent food that's been made with a lot of thought. The staff and management are really nice. The bungalows are located meandering around the many trees and are cozy. It's right on the main *****, with the beach across the road, but with the rooms located inside and surrounded by trees, it is cut away from the noise of the street. We had a restful 5 days there

At the beginning of our stay in Arugam Bay, we booked another hotel, and we had a really bad experience after one night (long story short - frogs and lizards in our room). We tried to find the best place to continue our honeymoon and Hideaway Resort was definitely the right place! The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. They tried to give us the best honeymoon experience and organized for us a romantic dinner with a special menu. We had an amazing time in Hideaway Resort and wish to come back one day!
