Rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our curtains had a rip in them and apparently to accommodate the large AC unit they cut the left side of the curtains short and a lot of light got in. The AC unit did not seem to ever kick on and the room got very hot at night. Also we went to the market at 9:15 am where you were supposed to be able to get hot breakfast food to go and they said they were out of everything. The staff did their best to accommodate with what they had available to them though and were very friendly.

I love the property but the man who works in the front on Sundays was very rude to me and my boyfriend upon our checkout. My heat was broke for majority of my stay and it was freezing outside so now I have a cold. Outside of that I enjoyed my stay.

The views are great. The vibe is good. Parking is overpriced. The rooms and bathrooms could use an update for sure. I was so excited to try the cookies from word of mouth, but I didn’t get to. They ran out of cookies when I checked in so I can’t review them. The elevators were the worst part. Be prepared to wait for at least 10 minutes to catch an elevator to your part of the hotel. The area around the hotel is good. Very walkable. Gives you a city feel.

The room with the balcony was nice. No Parking. Only 327 parking spots for a place that has over 600 rooms. No where to park to check in too the room. The event was going on, and wasn't notified that the entrance to the hotel was blocked off. The room and view were amazing but the hassle is not worth it.

There was no cold water for a shower. It was scalding hot. No one called maintenance as requested and on day 2 a maintenance person came to my room and told me to run the water for 5-10 minutes to get cold water. Unacceptable! No compensation offered. Also no receipt available at checkout.

Once we arrived from our 6 hour drive, we got sent to a room 10 floors up, only to find out that the key did not work, since they didn’t actually activate it. We went all the way back downstairs and got another room, only to find out that the room they now sent us to already had another occupant in it. We woke them up out of their deep sleep trying to get into the room. Absolutely shameful and embarrassing. We went back down to the lobby a third time, and they finally gave us a key to a completely different floor, and aside from the room smelling absolutely weird and showing severe signs of wear and tear, we now lost the view of Washington DC from our window, which was the very reason why we chose this hotel. They waived our overnight parking fee as some sort of attempted gesture for the horrible inconvenience that we had, but it took literally three desk associates to communicate that effectively with each other. They also made the extremely confusing mistake of putting the bar right next to the check-in desk, so it was impossible to hear anything the check-in person was saying because everybody at the bar was literally screaming and laughing obscenely loud right in the lobby. There was not one redeeming quality in the entire visit.

Not enough staff, so long lines for everything. Lots of things don’t work. All Ice machines were down, but they did offer free ice in the restaurant. WiFi was unavailable. Room key sometimes didn’t work. Laundry room out of order. Luggage room had no attendant, so you take a chance nobody takes your luggage from behind the front desk. Overall it was a 6. Long walks to everything. 10 minute walks end up tiring at the end of the day. Grocery store, fast food, and Target are all within walking distance, but it gets tiring if you’re touring the city. The staff that is there are Awesome! They put up with so much crap from customers and they are still maintain professionalism.

The Doubletree Hilton Crystal City is a lovely hotel in a convenient location. The price was reasonable and the keyless check-in / entry is fantastic. The parking is horrendous. We had to make a few trips in and out of the garage to visit a friend and dreaded returning to the lot. There are columns making the structure very difficult to navigate and we saw cars parking anywhere, in multiple different positions, making turns near impossible.

Great stay here while taking my sons to a concert. Convenient Uber ride to The Wharf area and many other places. The only downfall to the place is accessibility to parking during the check in. There are spaces to use, but no one monitors them to make sure other guests are moving within the short time given. Checked in, parked my vehicle, went to the room and came back down an hour later and most of the same vehicles were still parked on those spaces. It truly makes checking in and unloading difficult.
