This is a very nice three star hotel. If you want all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel this is not the place. If you’re looking for a clean and friendly place to stay this place has it. Disappoints: The gym was only open 8-14 on weekends. The area around the hotel was full of industrial buildings and not very cozy. The rooms were low in standard.
Stayed here a weekend in November 2021. Got one of the old rooms (not renovated). If you decide to stay her..should insist on a newly renovated room. Bathroom is pretty basic, didn't like the small cube in the wall shower. The biggest problem with the room was the noise..you can hear everything from next door or out in the hallway. If your neighboor coughs..you heard it.. The location of the hotel is good, the staff was mostly friendly. The breakfast is not amazing, but ok for the area. Had some bacon/sausages, good bread. Fruit almost non-existent. The dining area is a bit old fashion, feels a bit scrappy. Parking full. Wifi good. Will probably choose another hotel next time I stay in Aalborg.
Late arrival (11:30pm) after a day of cancelled trains, so the electrics in the room not working and having to go back to reception and getting moved wasn’t the greatest start. Dated bathroom. I doubt I’ve ever stayed in a GBP 100+ room which has a shower curtain. Absolutely sensational breakfast, full of interesting local options as well as everything you would expect from a traditional buffet. Ambiguous check out info: 11am on booking yet midday on in-room TV. Given the late arrival, being given late checkout (apparently a perk of RH membership) was fabulous and enabled us to spend a full day exploring before a quick shower (with that appalling shower curtain) before heading to the station, just 10-minute walk Definitely recommended
