曲普奎嘉琪旅館(Qupqugiaq Inn)

This Inn is in such a great location. You’re 1-2 miles away from absolutely everything. It makes it so easy to grab a taxi or Uber and then BOOM you’re there. It’s also very walkable and there is tons to do right near the Inn itself if you don’t want to go into midtown.

Thank goodness we had a private bathroom, as after meeting some of the other guests, we wouldn't have wanted to share. Shared kitchen facilities lend a hostel type atmosphere which is fine, but seems to encourage long term residents. Our room was filthy on arrival, but at least the bed was clean. They did jump on to trying to rectify it. Shower was the highlight; really really good. Domino's across the road and Walmart (and other good shops) in the vicinity. Room had no ventilation and became very stuffy, and very noisy from next door and above.We wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I don't understand how this place has so many good reviews because this place was absolutely terrible. And when the inn keeper asked how my stay was I said it wasn't good and she was like "that's surprising, everyone loves it here because it's cheap and quiet" it is definitely not quiet one bit. Constantly slamming and yelling from her "workers". Sketchy people walk around the building at night and someone was doing weird things outside my window all night. There is NO bathroom in your room at all. You have to walk down the hall to nasty uncleaned shared bathrooms and showers. There's loose hanging electrical wires everywhere, cracks in the foundation everywhere. The wall plugs in my room doesn't have a cover and is just left exposed. There's a crack in my door that lets me see into the hall and just anyone can peek through. My drawers in my room have no bottoms, what's the point of a dresser? The mattress was so old and disgusting and had holes and really nasty stains on it. My sheet had crusty white stuff on it. My room also smelt terrible up on arrival. There's no control of the heat so you just get to burn up in your room, the window has no screen on it and it's right next to the stairs so anyone could just crawl into your room through the window. Do not waste your money on this place, it may be cheap but it's definitely not worth staying here, I was stressed out and scared for my life staying at this inn.

Close to the airport, budget friendly, and clean comfy rooms. Would stay here again for the convenience. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. Overall great stay here. To note, it is in midtown, and there were less walkable dining options compared to other areas, though Moose’s tooth is nearby and a great option for a bite.

Cons: Missing the above sink mirror, inches of dust on a possible old sprinkler system. Refrigerator barely cools. Dominions is the only nearby restaurant, delivery only after 10 pm. Pros: parking right outside my door. Escorted to my room by the front desk guy. Water and chocolate left in the room on a tray. Cheap price.

I had a 2-night stay at Qupqugiaq, solo, in a single room with shared bathroom. The room was adorable - so cute. Not the cleanest room in the world but not the worst. There was dust under the bed - not a big deal - and the curtains/window shades need to be replaced. Also no screens on the windows and it was stuffy.. I opened them, but was concerned about bugs. Bed was nice - sheets/bedding was clean. Love the artwork throughout, including the piece on the walls in the room. So nice! As was the desk with local info. Nice chair to sit in.... The TV is gigantic and really overwhelms the room. The 24/7 coffee was nice, and really good. I also like that there is shared/available kitchen, though the refrigerator is so full I don't know where I could have put anything! Hand sanitizer by the kitchen and in the bathrooms would have been a plus. And adding some hooks on the walls - both the room I stayed in (nowhere to put one's clothes, towels, jacket, etc) as well as in the bathroom would be great. Regarding bathrooms: One was far nicer than the other on my floor. Never found the 3rd. One had no hot water, the other had hot water but no hooks/place to put anything and was gross. The heat ***** is literally falling apart, there is deep mold in corners, and on Friday evening of my stay it looked like a middle school make up blow up had taken place - with pink EVERYWHERE, overflowing trashcan, and dirty towel. Employees were really nice. Cared. Genuine. Helpful.

The bathroom smelt of smoke. I have asthma. I literally cannot use the bathroom or shower safely. Instead of relaxing, I'm spending my time here researching other places so I can breathe. Meanwhile, very limited options as far as good, and other Google reviews list a lot of safety concerns.
