I'm very impressed, the room is clean. good service staff I was late for check in but the staff greeted me very friendly.

En famille pour un séjour de 3 jours nous avons adoré cet hôtel situé idéalement pour relier tous les centres d intérêt du centre historique d Amsterdam. Énormément d escaliers raides à grimper mais ça vaut le coup car tout est douillet et tellement bien décoré dans le style traditionnel et authentique avec des touches de modernité. Des chats vous accueillent avec des réceptionnistes adorables. Lits très confortables et petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter pour un prochain séjour !!

The entry required walking up 25+ stairs to the lobby. The staff took bags up and down and were very friendly but the stairs were a challenge. We also had to climb more stairs to our room which was very small. The location was great but the effort up and down and the small room left us disappointed.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à cet hôtel. Très bon emplacement (15 min à pied de la gare ou des autobus pour l’aeroport), hôtes tres gentils et accueillants, délicieux petit déjeuner servi le matin, bonne machine à café multi choix à toute heure, superbe petit salon à l’accueil avec les 2 adorables chats, vraiment tres charmant! Notre seul bémol était les escaliers tres étroits mais nous y retournerons sans faute si nous séjournons à nouveau à Amsterdam!

We chose this hotel because it was walking distance to many things we wanted to see in Amsterdam. A bonus was that a train stop is only a block away so you can easily get anywhere. We arrived on a red eye flight and got to the hotel before noon. We had hoped to just sit in the lobby and play cards for a couple of hours. However - they offered us brunch and got our room ready within an hour so we got a much needed afternoon nap before our canal tour! We didn’t realize there would be such a steep stair climb but that is not uncommon in the area. The room had what we needed but don’t expect extra space. Would stay here again! They have 2 nice cats. If you have a cat allergy, that could be an issue.

I only stayed for a long weekend, but found the hotel to be quaint, clean & conveniently located. Staff were friendly and answered questions, lobby was large and decorated for Christmas (& had lots of local info), and the included daily breakfast was plentiful. The room itself was a modest size in comparison to US hotels but, nothing out of the ordinary for European standards. There was a booklet with information about the history of the hotel in the room which I thought was a really nice touch. I read the reviews & was knew to expect all of the stairs, so they weren’t bothersome; I was on the second floor with about 60 steps to get to my room.

Beware the stairs! Other than the extremely steep stairs up to the lobby and then again up to the guest floors, this was a charming hotel with gracious and accommodating staff. Breakfast was delightful, the location was eminently walkable and yet quiet, and we would be very happy to stay here again.

Great location! The breakfast was ok, but the eggs were REALLY runny and we were a bit scared to eat them! The rooms were very small! The employees were lovely- so kind!
