"Vigla hotel is in a stunning location - beautiful, unspoilt and peaceful in the small ancient town of tholaria with amazing views of the mountains and sea . It is close to the gorgeous beaches of levrossus and aegili. The family who run it and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect. My daughter and I had the best most relaxing and memorable time, enjoying the pool , the restaurant food and a really interesting and fun cooking lesson. I would love to come back for some hiking when it is not so hot . Thank you so much for a wonderful stay."

"by car about 25 minutes from Katapola or 15 minutes from Aegiali located in an amazing area. People who want to relax and seek peace and quiet are in the right place here. The apartments are spacious and almost all have a sea view, ideally also for families. There are plenty of sunbeds by the pool as well as at the beach area and you can always enjoy a drink at Pavlos' bar. This hotel gets a warmest recommendation because of the location the cleanliness, the friendly service from everybody."

"There's really better places to stay both for value, comfort, and location on the island. Rooms were mediocre, small, and outdated. Location was pretty terrible too, far from the beach and difficult to get anywhere else on the island, and was a tough drive to the port and beaches. The only redeeming qualities were the great breakfast and the pool (which was nice) but didn't make up for the distance from the sea. Nights were quite loud due to incessant music throughout the village. Not a terrible place but do yourself a favor and book elsewhere."

"We really enjoyed Yperia. Owner/manager Antonis and his staff are very welcoming and helpful. [In fact Antonis called the local doctor and arranged a visit with the local doctor when my wife needed stitches for a cut on her leg.] He also had great recommendations for local restaurants, all of which were superb. Our room was large and comfortable, with a true queen size bed instead of two twin beds pushed together, as you often see in Europe. The view was magnificent. The location was good too; just up the hill (a very short walk) to the village and waterfront."

"The studios are in a very convenient location, between Katapoli and Chora. They are fully equipped, clean, comfortable, with a nice view. There is free space on the street for parking and access is very easy. What stands out is the behavior of the staff. Elena and Andreas are unique. They will treat you to baked raki, they will give you a map with all the information about the island, they will help you with everything you need. I highly recommend it to anyone going to beautiful Amorgos and wants to complete their experience with a stay in a remarkable accommodation with wonderful people."

"We LOVED staying at Eleni on the Beach. We had a room at the top with outdoor balcony (all rooms have balconies with breathtaking views). We were given a wheel of cheese (homemade from their goats’ milk!) and a bottle of wine (also homemade). Maria and Ellis couldn’t enough for us - provided us with tips re hiring a car (from Yannis), where to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner, how and where to explore the different parts of the island - Amorgos is largely untouched and is completely oozing history - the island where’The Big Blue’ was filmed, so we went to private beaches and the famous cliffside monastery! Completely breathtaking!!!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!"

"Soil is a brand new family-run small hotel in Katapola. The location is perfect as it is only a short walk from the ferry pier and at the same time it is at the limit of this pleasant and animated port. The hotel is very pretty with nice flowers in the garden. The rooms are very well decorated in white and wood and all have a terrace. Our family room was perfect with a separate bedroom for the parents and the kids slipping on comfortable sofa beds, with a small kitchen corner, air conditioning and a nice terrace with superbe view overlooking the port. In the morning you can hear the goats at the back of the hotel which I found vert pleasant. The owners Anna and Panigiotis are very friendly and helpful, they were very responsive by email for the booking and logistics, they came to meet us at the ferry to help with luggage, and gave us plenty of good advice with things to do, beaches and restaurants in the gorgeous island of Amorgos. For the moment the breakfast is at a nearby cafe on the port which was ok, but they are considering starting to serve it in the garden of the hotel which would be perfect. The price was also reasonable and below what we paid in other cycladic islands. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, we felt at home instantly and we would highly recommend it."
