Stayed at the Amorgion Hotel for a few nights in June as part of a wider tour of the Greek Aegean Islands. When I arrived at the port, I was meet at the port by George from the Amorgion who took me in the hotels minibus to the hotel in the hills above the port. My room was immaculate and beautiful furnished with an easy to use safe for my valuables. The hotel has a beautifully large swimming pool with outstanding views of the mountains surrounding the area with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds to relax on which you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner by for a reasonable price, I had dinner 1 night by the pool, was delicious. The beaches in the area I didn’t find to be great, where rocky, recommend drive or get bus to Aegealis in the north of the island for a nice sandy beach, but this is made up for by the lovely swimming pool. The Island is a walkers paradise, a footpath leads out of the hotel to the left up to the Chora and onto the Panagia Hozoviotissa monastery built into the side of the cliff face, not to be missed. Enjoyed my time here and hope to come back to Amorgos sometime to challenge myself to take on the path from Aegealis to the Panagia Hozoviotissa monastery
