I like the breakfast and the receptionist is very friendly. If the quilt cover can be softer, I feel better.

What a lovely B&B, very welcoming staff, great location for the centre of beautiful Ambleside. Lots of variety for breakfast had to order cooked breakfast the night before which wasn't a problem. The breakfast was top notch. We had the bluebird room, it was well decorated, very clean, lovely and spacious. The bathroom was roomy with a good shower. The only ****** was the door didn't fully open but you soon got used to it. We absolutely loved our stay here and wished we had booked longer.

The Townhouse B&B is in a great location for walking and visiting Ambleside, just yards from the town centre , there is parking at the hotel and the staff are polite and helpful. The rooms are light and airy and nicely decorated and furnished the bed was very comfortable , a good breakfast choice for everyone. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Ambleside and would certainly recommend it as a first choice place to stay when visiting Ambleside

We recently traveled to the Lake District for the first time and had the most wonderful stay at the Ambleside Townhouse. We arrived late our first night but the staff sent us detailed instructions for checkin, making the process seamless. The daily breakfast was delicious and served in the most lovely, welcoming room. Our room was beautiful and had a pretty view, as well. We appreciated the great, central location of Ambleside to the rest of the Lake District as well as the proximity of the Townhouse, itself - close to shops, restaurants, pubs, etc. Highly recommend checking out the Ambleside Tap Room for great beer and wood-fired pizza!

Had the most amazing chilled out stay , stayed in Room 6 with a beautiful view over the back of the hotel. The room was spotless, and the bed was so comfy. Large room with shower and bath. Was cleaned every day with fresh supplies of tea/coffee, bottled water and towels. and beds made. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and plenty of choice in a lovely airy room. They even had a large water machine filled with lemon, lime and orange at reception for cold drinks whenever needed, throughout your stay (nice touch) and help yourself to Ice (Ice machine in breakfast room)and Ice bucket if needed for the room, to keep drinks chilled. The staff were so friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Big shout to Helen the manager who was lovely and very helpful, and does an amazing job! We have booked to come again later in the year we liked it so much. We have stayed in many guesthouses and have lots of weekends away in the lakes, however this place is by far the best we have stayed in and would highly recommend. excellent value for money

Great location in the Town. Very easy to find. Strange car park but plenty of room. The place is a little older fashioned than some but very clean. Breakfast is huge. We had room 8 on the top floor - smaller double bed but room was ok - even though it faced the road we had no issues. Small shower. Overall a good place - we stayed two nights.
