樹屋旅館

Cerca a la estación del tren, se sube un poquito, pero normal no fue problema. El hotel es lindo, lo malo es que la vista de nuestra habitación no fue lo que esperaba, yo pensaba estar en el balconcito, tomar algo con la persona que fui, pero no había luz en el balcón y la recepción cierra y ya no hay quien atienda. Es raro que la recepción no esté siempre abierta, finalmente fuimos a un bar cerca. Fuera de eso, la habitación cómoda, muy linda y nos dieron guía y facilidades. Por ejemplo, nosotras no íbamos a poder tomar el desayuno del día siguiente, ya que nuestro tren salía muy temprano, pero nos brindaron el desayuno el día que llegamos (que también fue muy temprano). La atención de la chica de recepción fue muy buena también. El único detalle fue la vista del balcón, que da a una pared de calaminas de metal... y que no había luz en el balconcito.

Arguably one of the best looking hotels in the area. The service was fantastic in many ways. We were met at the train station and guided to the hotel. We were able to store our luggage for the day whilst we went up Machu Picchu. And anything they could do to help they did. We had rooms 3 & 4 which had a brilliant view of the mountains around from the balcony. The room was a lovely wooden feel. The only downsides to the rooms were there was a lot of windows with no curtains etc so the light came in. Also there was a lot of noise from the surrounding neighbours and animals. We took eye masks and earplugs so didn’t suffer much lack of sleep but definitely do go equipped. The breakfast was also great! It was a 3 courses including fruit, cereal & yoghurt and then eggs and bread along with a coffee. There was also a lot of steps to get to the hotel - which is how you get the views but just be aware with luggage and at altitude it is not fun.

The cabins are rustic, cute, comfy, airy and clean with nice views of the mountains and town. Staff were friendly and helpful. When we were there the restaurant was only open for breakfast which was disappointing because one of the reasons I booked the place was that the restaurant looked so nice. There are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the lodge which is fine if you’re not affected by the altitude. Ask for an upper room for a better view if you don’t mind the extra stairs. Staff were nice and helpful.
