This was a good base for exploring the area. We stayed 3 nights in a room with a very marginal sea view, though others have better so specify you want a full view in your booking! Easy access to the beach. The restaurant is well priced and food was excellent. Very nice house and restaurant staff, but the reception staff could do with some charm training.

We had the most amazing stay at your hotel, the staff at the hotel were so friendly, attentive and helpful. We went for my birthday trip, so they upgraded our room to one with a balcony and the views from our balcony were absolutely beautiful. There were 3 restaurants at the hotel, each one was different, our favourite was Donna Floriana because of the views from the table. The spa in the hotel was also one of our highlights. Every night there was live music from Marika dicostanzoo who we became very good friends with, the most beautiful voice! From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a little shoutout to Marilena, Sciascia and Sandro but all of the staff were amazing.

Villa Athena has been the top hotel in Agrigento and one of the well-known luxury hotels in Sicily for decades. We could not get a reservation there on our first trip to Sicily, but this spring we were able to stay for 2 nights. The location is as amazing as pictures and website show - you can look our your window or sit in the garden with a full-on view of the Temples. Absolutely stunning. Having said that, location and view are only one part of the hotel experience. Our room (temple view) was extremely small, but very well-maintained; the bathroom was decent-sized and totally modern. Still, it was the smallest room we've had anywhere in Europe in a long time, let alone for a 5-star hotel. Since we were there before summer, breakfast and dinner were served in a totally indoor space without any view and decorated in an ultra-modern style, which left us a little cold. And while the front desk staff were very welcoming, the restaurant staff did not add much to our experience -- on the first morning, we were ignored (for ordering coffee or seeing a menu) until we called someone over and we never got a single smile from anyone. We were so surprised that I mentioned it - quietly - to the front desk person. It actually made us decide to have dinner elsewhere. On the second morning, the breakfast staff was friendlier, but I have to say that it colored our opinion of the hotel. We were happy to have finally stayed at the Villa, but if I were to return to Agrigento, I'd seek out an alternative. If the Villa advertises itself as a 5-star experience and charges accordingly, it needs to deliver. We'd be willing to stay in less luxury but with warmer, more personal service.

Io e la mia compagna ci siamo voluti regalare un viaggio in Sicilia, tappe Palermo, Agrigento e Catania. Ad Agrigento era impossibile non andar a vedere la Valle dei Templi, allora abbiamo scelto questo hotel, siamo rimasti entusiasti su tutti i punti, la struttura è eccellente ma forse le persone che ci lavorano lo sono di più, gentilissime ed estremamente cordiali. Hanno saputo rispondere con competenza a qualsiasi domanda e poi la cena, che dire, ottima, non mi immaginavo che il ristorante di un hotel fosse così! La cura nelle pietanze servite è sicuramente da 10, hanno un cuoco o cuoca oltre ogni aspettativa, ripeto non solo nel cucinare, ma nel servire, nel consigliare, nel raccontare e spiegare le pietanze, il tutto non si limitava a degli ottimi cibi ma era condito anche da quel sapere che i gentilissimi camerieri hanno saputo raccontare a dei semplici commensali. Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte in questo b&b nel pieno centro storico di Agrigento. La struttura è molto bella. Finemente ristrutturata. La nostra camera era spaziosa con un soffitto in travi di legno. Il bagno completo di prodotti specifici per il bagno ognuno con profumazioni diverse. Cura del dettaglio. Perfetta pulizia. Colazione su ordinazione servita in un delizioso cortile. Tutto perfetto e i proprietari cortesi e pronti a fornire consigli e indicazioni. Consigliatissimo.

Il soggiorno al Serenusa Village è stato fantastico. Il villaggio è sul mare ed è ha ben 3 piscine (una grande centrale, una piccola attaccata con scivoli per i bimbi e un’ altra dove poter fare nuoto). La pulizia delle camere e dei luoghi comuni rende il villaggio molto confortevole. Il mangiare è veramente buono e c è ogni giorno una varia scelta sia se si vuol mangiare carne sia pesce. Il mare si può raggiungere da una scala in legno dal villaggio stesso e gli ombrelloni sono assegnati. Nella spiaggia c è un ristorante che non ho provato perché ho preferito il buffet e c è anche un ristorante “il gusto” che non ho avuto modo di provare. L’animazione è sempre presente, ma con discrezione.. organizzano tante attività e ce n è davvero per tutti i gusti! Ho soggiornato per una settimana con il mio compagno! Ve lo consiglio!

Amazing place to stay for base to visit Valley of the Temples which is 20 minutes drive. We stayed in the presidential suite which was modern room on top level with modern amenities including kitchen, washer, dryer, Jacuzzi and sauna! The hot tub/Jacuzzi is outside with beautiful view of the city/cathedral. We ate at the on-site restaurant Le Traveggole which served amazing food. Overall we have no complaints. The breakfast was standard fare with good options for every taste. Valet parking was provided and appeared to be included with room rate as I wasnt charged extra. This is critical as parking is hard to come by in city. In addition check in by Mauricio was friendly and attentive. Directions are also provided by the hotel as GPS can be misleading. Their directions are spot on so pay attention to their emails. Overall great stay and highly recommend! Favara is small town that is a great base for visiting Valley of the Temples. There isnt much else to do but we enjoyed having late night drink at nearby bar/restaurant and having drink at rooftop/jacuzzi. Staff at this hotel are very attentive and helpful
