飛躍鱒魚精品小屋(The Flying Trout Boutique Lodge)

We booked to stay at The Flying Trout Boutique Lodge as a treat - and it was all we could have hoped for and more! Rob met us when we arrived and showed us round before taking us to our utterly gorgeous suite. It was so much bigger than anticipated, and the view from the balcony was stupendous! There were lots of little treats (like the chocolates, cookies and chocolate milk). Karen had very kindly made up a cheese platter for my partner (it was his birthday), which was much appreciated. Everything from the bed to the bathroom was luxurious and the beautiful antiques all around were stunning. Breakfast in the lovely sunny dining room was delicious, and nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience was wonderful and well worth the money. We will definitely be staying again and would recommend 100%!

Undoubtedly this was the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely beautiful every attention to detail is taken in this fabulous lodge. I could not have asked for anything more. If I could rate if 10 stars I would, Karen and Rob the hosts cannot do enough for you and they are so lovely to chat with, we really enjoyed their company. A fabulous weekend away if you want to spoil yourselves!!!

Highly recommended. Karen & Rob are great hosts of this stunning property. The Kiwi suite was very comfortable and had nice little touches e.g free chocolates. The hot tub on the deck was great. We used their local knowledge to go on a wonderful hidden lakeside bushwalk & ate at some very special local cafes. We would stay here again for sure.

Fabulous and comfortable stay. Fluffy gowns and slippers, Luxurious bed, Heated blanket, amazing lighting, lots of extras I’m the bathroom like heated towel racks, face cleaners, toiletries. Amazing breakfast…

Absolutely fantastic! A gorgeous room in a beautiful setting. Lovely personal service from Rob and Karen (including printing out personal directions for our activities!!!!). Also delicious breakfast! Could not recommend high enough!

Wir sind für 4 Nächte in dieser bezaubernden Lodge. Ein Muss für jeden der den viktorianischen Stil liebt. Uns wird jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen, ob Wasser oder ein Kaffee für zwischendurch oder einmal Wäsche waschen. Ein Traum. Wir bewohnen die Kiwi Suite mit Blick auf den Lake Taupo und eigenem Whirlpool auf der Terrasse. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein. Das Frühstück ist grandios. Alles in allem ein tolles Urlaubsparadies.

There are few places we've visited during our travels with family that we would say justify a small expedition to get to. This charming bed and breakfast squarely fits that category. It's impossible to overstate how perfectly this place defines old fashioned, charming hospitality! The hosts' attention to detail and focus on quality of service are truly remarkable and world class. The Kiwi King Suite has a very large and delicious jacuzzi with an amazing view of Taupo Lake. The Tui King Suite is located upstairs, so has an even better view of Taupo Lake and a gorgeous and spacious balcony. It's actually fun to come with family and book both of those rooms. Breakfast here is another major highlight. Eggs scrambled to perfection, super fresh fruit, all served by the most attentive hosts. The place is kept sparklingly clean, which really makes a huge difference. It's one of these instances where even though we're huge fans of contemporary modern interior design, it felt absolutely amazing to be in a more old school home.

Awesome awesome stay. private amazing room with amazing view and spa pool. Breakfasts were incredible, make sure you ask for the omelette, (or scrambled eggs) it is their specialty :-) Very helpful with advice and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely stay again
