阿伯丁阿爾滕斯飯店(The Aberdeen Altens Hotel)

A few minutes away from aberdeen. Be prepared to ride the bus or have a car/bike available. Hotel renovated in 2021, modern, clean interior. Spa includes a new and clean steam room and sauna at no additional cost. English breakfast & coffee were ok.

Beautiful hotel, very clean so lovely, breakfast n dinner was fabulous. I love this hotel very much when next I visit Aberdeen I must lodge there.

Room was not the cleanest but that can be rectified. The service and hospitality was 1st class.

Very nice spa facilities included with stay, breakfast option is good. Blanket was not thick enough

Disappointing stay. Expected a lot more from a 4 star hotel. - Checked in fine and was directed to the first floor only to find out the room was on the ground floor. - Beds comfortable but on further inspection discovered a suspicious brown stain on the sheet. - Coffee machine not cleaned - Breakfast ordered to room night before - Arrived on time in morning but missing butter, ordered brown bread given granary, all cereal missing, not appetising to look at. - Shower dirty on arrival. - Glass chipped in room leaving sharp edge, luckily saw this before my son drank from it. Overall, would not stay here again.

Frequently use this hotel for business however on this occasion it was a family visit, it was really disappointing. Staff did not seem friendly or as helpful as normal especially in the spa, the hot tub was under repair and so was out of use. (not a huge problem) However I was most disappointed when my daughter and i arrived at the pool at 11:30am just after our breakfast and were refused entry to the pool as we were checking out on that day. Normally i use this hotel for work so it’s never normally an issue however to be charged an additional £10 per person for being 30mins “late” to use the facilities left me feeling pretty hard done by. Especially when i has promised some time in the pool to my daughter. Anyway we paid the extra fee for being 30mins “late” to the pool. Normally we have the choice between the village and Atlens, we like the vibe of the Atlens however for a family trip i would always opt for a hotel that accommodates families and on the past experience the Atlens is not that hotel! fine for business but a family stay over i would recommend elsewhere. It’s a real shame because i normally really enjoy staying here however for the next family trip we will be staying elsewhere.

Booked the hotel as it had a swimming pool for the kids. On arrival we were told that we would have a half an hour wait to use the facility, one and a half hours later we were still being told the same thing. Headed back first thing in the morning and told the same again wait 30 mins! Shocking service for paying guests will not be back

Food and pool were great. Couple Of things about the room that eventually got sorted but no big deal. Looked lovely throughout. Room comfy and had everything we needed
