I stayed at pension Lehrerhaus for five nights while visiting Vienna. It is a low price pension so it is a slightly different approach than a hotel. That said, the rooms are large and nicely lit. We had a private bathroom and had all the amenities we could have wanted, including a shared fridge in the hallway and downstairs in the lobby. They loaned us a kettle for the room so I could make tea. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. All this deserves five stars but when you add the location to the mix it really can’t be topped. The location is near to all sorts of great things in the neighborhood, including the English theater, and it’s also very convenient to the subway and tram lines. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone considering booking here.

Terrible experience. The heater was extremely dirty and then they left a mobile heater for me there. Also the small mobile heater was very dirty and partly broken (in bad condition). The shower room was directly in the room (no wall, no separation, open top). All the humidity stays in the room. A growth of MOLD/MOULD will be or is already a result of this wrong solution. Serious health risk. Avoid. Never again.

September 2025 Great location and lovely old architecture.! On a quiet charming side street, just a 10 minute walk to metro and old town in one direction and 5 minute walk to a hipster area in the other. Access requires some steps (though there is an elevator) and can bit a little confusing at first if your room is behind the courtyard. Rooms are large, super clean, some with large private bath. Common room has a toaster, microwave, and kettle for making your own meals, but access is closed after 7pm. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful, and even let me check in early.

Great location for me to walk around - as well as use public transportation. My room was clean and I was glad to have my own bathroom. The temperatures were nice and I only used both the fans once. When I left for the day, I utilized the pull down shades and the double curtains - which helped with the room temps in the afternoon and evening. Also, I was thankful to have an elevator to use! The fridge in the hallway was never full and although it was at the other end of the hallway from my room, it wasn't too far to walk :). The staff were nice and friendly (Kamile checked me in; and Robin helped arrange a taxi pickup to the airport for 4:30 am).

Warmest recommendation! Simple, charming guest house/hotel in a house with old Viennese architecture. Spotlessly clean, excellent price, very friendly and helfpul staff. The district has Viennese flair and a lot of bars, restaurants and nice shops around. Quiet and absolutely safe.
