Room had a very musty smell when we arrived and sheets did not smell fresh. Breakfast did not have a lot of good choices and did not seem good quality. Hotel is in a good location near to shops and restaurants
ABSOLUTE SECURITY BREACH, COVER-UP, AND DISHONEST MANAGEMENT—DO NOT BOOK HERE
My stay was ruined by a severe and documented breach of my personal privacy and security, followed by a shocking attempt by hotel management to lie and fabricate facts rather than admit to a simple mistake. This is not a service issue; this is a severe security failure.
THE VIOLATION: Despite clear instructions given multiple times and the "Do Not Disturb" (DND) sign on my door, staff forcibly entered my room (1306) while I was absent and without emergency justification. Upon my return, I discovered my room compromised, and worse, my passport and credit cards were left visible and exposed. I cannot verify that my belongings were not tampered with during this unauthorized intrusion.
THE PROOF OF INTENTIONAL NEGLIGENCE: Management claimed I gave "explicit instruction to allow cleaning," but this is an outright, demonstrable lie. My instructions were given in three undeniable ways, all recorded on your security system:
1. I physically pulled up two fingers on camera to explicitly communicate the two-and-a-half-hour wait time.
2. I then showed staff the translated instructions on my phone, which the male front desk associate visually confirmed he understood.
3. The DND sign was active and was forcibly removed to gain entry.
THE COVER-UP & LACK OF INTEGRITY: When confronted, management provided a dishonest, fabricated response that completely ignored the CCTV evidence and my specific instructions. It is clear that management would rather try to save face and lie than address the security risk. They are refusing to release the security footage that proves their staff's negligence and their official response's dishonesty.
THE FINAL WORD ON ACCOUNTABILITY: If management responds to this review with a generic, "valued customer" lie or marketing spin, understand that they are still refusing to release the security footage that would either validate their stance or disprove mine instantly. Their choice to rely on PR spending rather than releasing the video evidence confirms their guilt.
Because management refused to resolve this severe violation internally, I have formally reported this entire matter—including the initial security breach and the subsequent cover-up—to the local police, the Vietnam Tourism Board, and other regulatory agencies, as well as TripAdvisor, Trip.com, and Agoda.
Do not trust this hotel with your security or your valuables. They cannot be trusted. I strongly advise all travelers to book elsewhere.
