Your retreat is set back in a quiet residential area on a cul-de-sac with plenty of off-street parking for the entire extended family. Your home away from home looks out into the professionally designed six-figure back yard with custom Gunite pool, soothing mature landscape, and legendary deck. Lights adorn the back yard and the pool area, and ensure that the setting sun won't cause an early end to your festivities. The entire space is fenced for your privacy and the surrounding tropical garden envelops you in peace. The grill, outdoor table, and all the seating spaces are for your enjoyment. The house is a classic mid century home. The renovated kitchen is at the heart of the home and overlooks the backyard oasis with eat-in breakfast area. Living spaces extend in both directions from the kitchen, and a massive formal dining area is adjacent to the family room and the piano space, and the bedroom wing extends beyond. The primary bedroom area is a massive ensuite, and there is another king en suite that steps out onto the back deck. Our large, spacious 2 BR 1 BA Brick Home is located on a 1/2 acre lot in a great safe location 15 min to anywhere in the City. It has four full size beds. Two beds in each bedroom. It sleeps up to eight people if 2 people sleep to a bed. It's walking distance to Shelby Farms Park & the Green Line bicycle/walking path. Our home has a large, fully equipped kitchen with a full set of pots and pan, bakeware, blender, handmixer, dishes - everything you need to cook a nice meal. Our house has a Wine Cooler, Breakfast Bar, Washer/Dryer, iron and ironing bed. 1 Gig internet.The house can sleep up to 8 people if 2 people sleep per bed. Please keep in mind that there is only 1 bathroom if you choose to book 8 people.For those traveling with small children. Our home is NOT baby proof. The outlets are not covered and cabinets do not have safety latches on them.This house is not able to accommodate parties. Please do not book if you are looking for a place to hold a party.We do not accept reservations from guests with negative reviews from other hosts.Our updated and remodeled home was the original farmhouse built in 1938 and the neighborhood was the farm. Over time the farmer sold off parts of his land and the neighborhood built up around it. Several of the homes in the neighborhood are on large pieces of land (2 acres to the left of us and two acres across the street from us) and many other of the houses are just normal neighborhood homes. You get a nice mix of country and suburbs in our neighborhood.
