房間面積還可以但空調噪音太大，有點影響休息。早餐還不錯談不上豐盛，大堂吧晚上喝酒人較多，酒店門口停車場很大，周邊步行15分鐘左右有一家非常棒的英國本地餐廳，steak pie非常好吃，酒店後面走15分鐘左右有一家外賣炸魚薯條不錯，一份魚和薯條好像12磅左右，量很大。

Ssy 3 small busses and tge interlink to tge cuty asude on tge main rd. That is money not a car park. Or facikity for. I just bought it is a red carpet to ypur car. It is what it is. A better place with busses. Cheers

We have recently returned from a very pleasant 2-night stay at the County Hotel, Chelmsford. We only booked a standard room which although slightly on the small side was clean, well furnished and had all that was necessary for a comfortable short stay. Lighting was good and although the room didn’t have air conditioning a large fan was provided. Our room was very quiet, the bed comfortable, and we both slept well. The bathroom was spacious, clean and had the added advantage of natural light and ventilation – something I always appreciate. On the first night of our stay, we enjoyed dinner in the hotel’s Samphire Restaurant – an attractively decorated, clean, comfortable venue. The food was well cooked and tasty and service was excellent, thank you Grace (hope I have remembered your name correctly!). Prices were average for a restaurant of this class in this area. One can also dine in the hotel’s Rainsford bar – there is a degree of menu overlap between the bar and the Samphire restaurant particularly for the more popular dishes, but the menus do differ so it maybe worth looking at both before deciding where to eat within the hotel – the bar seemed to offer more pub style favourites whilst the restaurant choices tended to be more up-market. The bar also has quite a lot of outside seating – whilst this only offers a view of the car park the opportunity to sit outside might be welcomed on a hot summer’s day. We chose to stay at this hotel due to its central location as we needed to catch a very early train from Chelmsford station. Within 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel one can reach the station and the town centre with its shops, restaurants, cathedral and theatre. The hotel has a large car park but to ensure that this is reserved for hotel users (and not used as a free car park for the station etc.) a charge is made – you need to enter your car’s registration number when entering the hotel to ensure that you do not end up with a parking fine. Currently, (October 2024), the charge for overnight parking is £9.00. Overall, this was a very good stay and if we needed to stay in central Chelmsford again it is highly likely that we would return to this hotel.

房間很大。廣告上說是四星級…不知道哪一年會是…更多是二星！臥室的窗台和牆壁真的腐爛了，家具過時，都有點破舊，不得不把窗戶開著，因為房間有點臭，但卡車送貨的時候整個晚上都很吵，浴室的排風扇不工作，所以真的很熱氣騰騰，有裂縫淋浴間的磁磚，浴室的門框也腐爛了。當時沒有抱怨，因為只住了兩晚只是為了睡覺——床單等又漂亮又乾淨，但枕頭不舒服，又舊又凹陷。不會再入住。

When my husband booked he mentioned it was our 47th anniversary, thought maybe a card, or bottle in our room or even a upgrade but absolutely nothing. The veiw from our room was horrible as you can see from photo, I did enquire about sea facing but it was an extra £25@ night. Room could do with a bit of a update not like photos on website. No safe in room also be aware no lifts. Positive Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the evening was absolutely delicious and downstairs was modern compared to the room. Carparking was free to guest's, just had to sign registration number in.

We stayed for my birthday last month as a couple and had the perfect night away. It's a beautiful seafront property with views of Southend promenade and the pier. Fantastic location. The ladies that run the hotel were lovely. We were greeted to have everything explained to us, she had put the heating on in our room. The room was recently decorated and had lots of lovely touches such as hairdryer, ironing board, tea and coffee and toiletries. Breakfast was continental choices and freshly cooked choices to order. The breakfast room is beautifully done, airy open and views of the sea. I would highly recommend a stay here we had such a lovely night away.
