Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū

The town is positioning itself as the vibrant cultural centre of New Zealand. The art galleries are part of this renaissance and the wonderful architecture is credit to the restored and rebuilt town. The gallery itself is spacious and easy to navigate. While the famous Nz painter has a strong early European influence, it also introduces more local young contemporary artists. It is certainly worth a visit here, where you can feel the different styles of this fun friendly town.

We stumbled upon this treasure-like place as we wandered around Christchurch. We are not an artistic family so this place is not on our itinerary, but I am glad we stayed here! There are a lot of exhibits, but we almost like WHERIKO-BRILLIA NT. Most exhibitions are free and the place is not too big, so it won't take up your whole day.

In the whole of New Zealand, it belongs to a relatively large-scale art gallery. The works are quite colorful and have a certain appreciation of value. People who have been to and like various art galleries in Europe and the United States can't expect too much. The exhibitions bring instant touch is worth it.

The Gallery has a high level of exhibits. I particularly like the Jacqueline Fahey on display now. We will return to "End" this trip tomorrow, because there are many things to do. This store is good, but the price is too high. These stores usually do. As for that restaurant, I think it's too expensive. Staff members are rude and lack personality. They have too much high-priced cheese meat and not enough cheese. If galleries want to welcome all types of people, they should provide more leisure cafes so that families can have a cup of tea and snacks while enjoying works of art.

The gallery has a unique charm that blends old and new buildings in a clever way. If you are interested, you can take an escalator or elevator to the top floor of the ceiling. The computer displays some information about the portraits, including 20th century British paintings, 19th century French artworks, and modern New Zealand artworks, which is really a very interesting combination. There are also some large sculptures in front of the gallery.

Metal and glass buildings are very eye-catching. There are more than 6000 collections, each exhibition hall has its own characteristics. The Gallery regularly updates some of its works. Friends with art hobbies are worth seeing. There are also some exquisite works of art sold in Gift Shop.
