Interesting place but not much there
This is pretty challenging to get to, at least in a regular car. There is a museum which is under construction so the place will undoubtedly be improved soon. There is not much to see on the 2 miles...

A missed opportunity
The San Pedro valley where the Pichasca National Monument is, is where they found trees of 70 million years old, dinosaur and megafauna fossils, and an ancient cave where people lived up to 10000 year...

Parque petrificado
Es mejor visitar en Primavera, menos caluroso. Hay troncos petrificados, una replica de dinosaurio y cueva de piedra de 80 metros de ancho utilizado por pueblos antiguos.

Final perfecto para un viaje por Río Hurtado
Es un bello lugar, muy ordenado y preparado. Hay que caminar harto bajo el fuerte sol del Norte. Ir preparado para ello.
