一気に標高が変わる
国分までは海沿いであるが、国分の市街を抜けると一気に標高が変わり、景色も高原地域となる。南国とはいえ、朝晩は結構冷えた。

雪が降ってました
2月でした。にしても、南国薩摩と思っていたのに雪が道路に積もるほど降っていたのにはびっくりしました。珍しいことだそうですが、冬に旅行の際はお気をつけて。

天気が悪い日は霧に注意
霧島というだけあってか、天気が悪い日に行ったので霧が濃い部分が多く、運転に注意が必要な場所もありました。今度は晴れている時に行きたいですね。
