Today's visit to the Senator Theatre was planned to appreciate its movie and theater history expressed in sidewalk art. Sections are engraved and painted to depict movies like Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind that date from around the 1939, the founding date of this Art Deco masterpiece of a theater There are also panels for Baltimore classics like Hairspray and Diner There is a segment dedicated to Bruce Crockett, the originator of the sidewalk art. There is a special block commemorating the 1991 world premier of He Said, She Said. We enjoyed this trip down memory lane (or sidewalk).

On a quiet Wednesday afternoon, I took in Oppenheimer on the main big screen. It is always a great pleasure to view a film in this gorgeous historic theater which has lovely comfy seats. I brought in a delicious lunch from Clark Burger next door. I enjoyed my burger and fries from the back rows with tables and then moved a bit closer when I was finished. The staff is always friendly and I love the lounge ladies room from another time.
