Fort Ward Museum and Park

Very well preserved fort

This may be the best-preserved earthwork fort from the Civil War I have seen. I was here early in the morning so the museum was closed but it was great wandering around the well-signed site.

Nice visit to this outdoor facility. Museum is helpful and grounds are well maintained. Cool part of our civil war history.
