[Zhou Enlai's ancestral residence in Shaoxing] During Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, the Zhou family of Baoyou Bridge moved to Shaoxing City. The house on the west side of ancestral residence is the ancestral residence of Zhou Enlai branch. In 1909, Zhou Enlai came to Shaoxing with his uncle and lived in his hometown for some time. In 1939, Zhou En came to Shaoxing, where he received relatives, friends and people from all walks of life, propagated anti-Japanese and salvation of the country, wrote many anti-Japanese inscriptions for anti-Japanese people and villagers, and filled in genealogy. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhou Enlai was not allowed to repair his ancestral residence. In 1984, when renovating his ancestral residence, Zhou Enlai's Historic Site Showroom was opened, which mainly introduced Zhou Enlai's activities in Shaoxing during the Anti-Japanese War. Nowadays Zhou Enlai's ancestral residence has become a patriotic education base open to the outside world.
