屋久島是歷史上主權屬於日本九州的一個島嶼，相繼為令制國大隅國、薩麻國的領地，位於鹿兒島南邊，也是鹿兒島縣大隅列島群的一部份。

I went on a self-service tour to Kyushu, Japan in 2011.
