Learn about the history of Asian immigrants and Asian-Americans who called Seattle home. The Wing Luke is a museum dedicated to the history of Chinatown/International District and features an extensive visual timeline of the district and its community leaders.I like Wing Luke for their rotating exhibits which focus on modern Asian artists and also historical exhibits which explore Asian artists in Seattle. One of my favorites was an exhibit which dissected the evolution and variety of Asian food, dishes and cultural traditions. Wing Luke also offers food tours around Chinatown.

This is one of the only museums in the U.S. that is dedicated to featuring Asian and Asian American culture. Located in the International District, the museum is small but the exhibits are interesting and educational. They have a cute little gift shop for visitors to buy souvenirs or postcards. The space also acts as an events venue - in fact, my nonprofit organization that I volunteer with held our annual fundraiser event here a few years ago and it was a huge success! The art inside was beautiful and the steps close to where you walk into the entrance has a nice touch.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I wrote music for the Bruce Lee Exhibit at the Wing Luke. You can hear it underscoring most of the videos in the exhibit. Come to learn about Asian history. Stay to hear music written by a Gogobotter.

Since you said you like Chinese food, why not considering doing an "Asian" day in the city? You could swing by the Wing Luke Asian Museum first (located in the Chinatown area) which is the first Smithsonian-affiliated facility in the area. They also waive their admission fee each first Thursday and third Wednesday of the month.
