Wenzhou Zoo is located in the scenic lotus core scenic spot of Jingshan Park. It is 6 kilometers away from the city centre and 150 meters above sea level, overlooking the whole view of Lucheng. The Park covers an area of 22.7 hectares and a building area of 5,000 square meters. It now raises more than 80 kinds of wildlife and nearly 1,000 animals. It is the only zoo in southern Zhejiang. The zoo has elephant hall, hippocampus pond, tiger mountain, lion garden, bear mountain, deer garden, peacock garden, waterfowl lake, amphibian reptile hall and bird park. There are rare animals such as Siberian tiger, African lion, elephant, giraffe, chimpanzee, gibbon, small panda, red-crowned crane, macaw, giant python, crocodile and so on. Animal performances regularly perform wonderful animal performances every day, such as sea lion water ballet, bear skating and so on. Children can also feed and pet pigeons and small animals in the human and animal exchange square.
