The German victory pillar was built in 1865-1873 to commemorate the war between Germany and Denmark in 1864, Austria in 1866 and France in 1870-1871. The pillar is 67 meters high and there is a gold-plated bronze statue of the goddess of victory 8 meters high on the platform. It was created by the sculptor Friedrich Quick. It sat opposite Imperial Fort for 66 years and moved to Tilgaten Park. During the relocation, it was installed on a drum-shaped column with a columnar corridor, with a spiral ladder inside, a total of 285 levels.
