Behind the statue of St. George is the "Stone Gate" of Zagreb, which is not a simple door, but a deep and storytelling door. The door has a turning, and there is a statue of the Virgin Mother and the Son that once appeared. The portrait survived a fire. Although the frames were burnt down, the painting itself was intact. Believers feel that this is the manifestation of the Virgin Mary, so this picture is now enshrined here, is a very sacred thing.
