After the tour, we left Edinburgh Castle and walked down the hillside along Royal Mile Avenue to watch street performers perform. Royal Mile Avenue is the Central Avenue of the old city of Edinburgh. The main street begins at Edinburgh Castle and ends at Hollywood Palace. It is about a mile long. The streets are crisscrossed by alleys and buildings, which constitute the skeleton of the old city of Edinburgh. Walking on the ground polished by stone, the buildings on both sides of the street are simple and magnificent, and the whole street is full of historical flavor. As we walk, we can see how attractive the scenery on both sides of the street is when we walk for an hour on this one-kilometer journey.
