Saint Sword Temple was built in the 12th century. It is said that Angkor City was under construction at that time. It became the temporary residence of the king, where he worshipped and studied. There are very long passages outside the four doors of Saint Sword Temple. The straight passage to the east gate is clean and clear, with no obstruction in sight. It seems that there is a feeling of time and space traversing. The Central Hall must pass through 19 stone gates. The narrower the stone gates are, the lower the height. People entering the hall must bow their heads before they can enter smoothly. The main buildings of the central hall have already collapsed, but there is still a stone sword standing in the center. Saint Sword Temple is named for this.
