Siena City Hall is located in Shell Square and consists of buildings and towers. The innermost entrance of one floor courtyard is used for ticket selling, the museum is on the right side, the entrance of tower is on the left side, and the theatre is on the right side of the main entrance. Situated in Shell Square, the Municipal Hall, which forms the foundation of the Square, is the most brilliant example of Sienagotian architecture. The city hall was built at the end of the 13th century as an office for the Republican government. The lower floor of the building is made of stone, the upper floor is made of brick, the facade is slightly bent, and the upper surface is even and step by step with neat holes.
