Oscarshall Castle is located on the east coast of the Bigdi Peninsula, a museum Peninsula in Oslo, Norway. It was commissioned by King Oscar and Queen Josephine in 1852. As a monument to Norwegian art, his palace and surrounding parks are regarded as the best examples of Norwegian Neo-Gothic architecture, with outstanding representative works of Norwegian Romantic style rubbed in their hands. The castle was opened to the public as a museum in 1881 and is now open to visitors every summer. The building is beautiful. It also retains the previous style.
