Situated on the top of Calton Hill, there is nothing that sets this monument apart that makes it worthy a visit on its own accord but as part of the sculptures and structures sitting atop the hill it makes for great vistas and puts in context the history of the city.



在卡爾頓山你會看到這麼美的地方，我去了2次了，都覺得好看，是為了紀念海軍上將納爾遜而建。每天下午1點愛丁堡城堡鳴炮時，納爾遜紀念碑塔尖的小圓球就會降下。

位於山頂上的非常高大宏偉的紀念碑為了紀念在特拉法爾加海戰中陣亡的納爾遜將軍而建需要支付門票才能進入爬到紀念塔的頂部能夠看到比紀念碑下面美麗數倍的風景強烈推薦。

The Nelson Monument is a recognizable part of the structures atop Calton Hill. This monument has particular significance as it has a time ball to signify time to ships in Leith Harbor.

参觀愛丁堡的卡爾頓山，山頂有不少著名的建築，納爾遜紀念碑就位於蘇格蘭愛丁堡海拔171米的卡爾頓山山頂，建於1807年到1815年，是為了紀念在1805年特拉法加戰役中擊敗法國和西班牙艦隊但本人卻中彈陣亡的海軍中將霍雷肖•納爾遜。納爾遜紀念碑與國家紀念碑一起佇立在卡爾頓山頂默默地俯瞰整個愛丁堡……
