Great museum! Very interesting to learn about the history of chocolate/cocoa beans. You even get to taste a few different kinds of chocolate. The staff was super friendly and the museum itself is very interactive and fun! You get to taste
There's so much more to chocolate than I realized. The historic component--the discovery of the New World and with it cacao--is discussed in the museum exhibits. The various components of chocolate--cacao butter, cacao powder--can be sampled along with different types of chocolate. Another part of the museum details Belgium's role in all of this, particularly the invention of the praline. The highlight is a demonstration of how pralines are made.
