The park, built to commemorate the national hero of Myanmar, Mahabandoola, is located in a busy city near the Little Golden Pagoda. In the northwest corner of the park is a magnificent little golden tower, facing the magnificent city hall to the north and the high court of the British red brick building to the east. Bandura commanded well in the Anglo-Burmese War and severely damaged the British army. Unfortunately, he died in a fierce battle in 1825. The Myanmar Independence Monument is also erected in Bandura Park. A quiet park in the middle of the busy city is suitable for rest. The surrounding buildings are good and the traffic is convenient. There are many local people here.

Next to the colonial buildings such as Suretta and the City Hall, it is also a place for local people to enjoy their leisure and recreation, where they can experience the life of the local people, beside which there are many teahouses as a rest place.
