The Penang Museum was built in 1821, formerly a school. A statue of Wright was erected in front of the museum. The statue was swept away by the Japanese during World War II and returned here after the war, but the sword on the statue never came back. This small museum has a complete collection of old photographs, maps, charts, furniture, clothing, memorabilia of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Donggu Adullaman, and other ancient relics of great historical value in Penang. Outside the museum, there is also a Penang flag-raising mountain's earliest rail vehicle for tourists to watch.
