The bronze statue of King Kamehameha, located opposite the Iolani Palace in Honolulu, is a landmark of Hawaii built in memory of the King. It is quiet and tidy near the State Capitol.
King Kamehameha was the first king in Hawaiian history to unify the Hawaiian Islands. In the history of the United States, only Hawaii has ever had a king. King Kamehameha unified the fragmented and disorderly land. In order to remember him, every June, Hawaiians celebrate King Kamehameha Day.

The bronze statue of King Kamehameha at the palace gate on the back of the state government, dressed in a golden robe, was a bit prestigious in the sunshine. In the history of the Hawaiian dynasty, the lovely island was the only Hawaiian archipelago that was not conquered by King Kamehameha by force, but later voluntarily surrendered to the King.
