萬里桐雖然距離墾丁鬧區有一段距離，但此地的海域資源豐富，是相當熱門的潛點，許多潜水愛好者十分喜愛特地前來此處潜水，這裏也有幾間店家提供潜水服務，無論是浮潛或深潛都相當適合。萬里桐同時也是電影「海角七號」中阿嘉偷閑看海游泳的地方，是許多追星族會來朝聖的景點之一。沒計畫的經過這裏，臨時決定讓小孩體驗浮潛觀看海底生物的樂趣，小朋友第一次浮潛，臉上也看不出有任何不會游泳的恐懼，只有興奮與期待。 這裏的業者，浮潛設備齊全，大人小孩都有。 過程中當然少不了提供水中、海上拍攝照片做為留念，費用也都包含在裏面了。小孩玩的不亦樂乎。
