伊斯坦堡軍事博物館條評論

地鐵M2線，Osmanbey站下，步行5分鐘即到，主要衝着每天下午3點的軍樂表演去的，展出一些奧斯曼時期，近代戰爭期間，軍隊的很多裝備，甚至見識了在中國抗美援朝期間，土耳其軍隊的一些裝備，行裝，場景等等，他們當時是和美國一起去攻打朝鮮的，展出的物品放置在一幢2層的大樓內，但大樓體量很大，此館前身是一所陸軍學校，因此，展品還是挺多的，這地方更是軍事謎不容錯過之地；只是軍樂表演和之前我想象的稍有不同，之前是覺得可能在室外的廣場上，士兵們着現役的軍隊服裝，舉行的類似閱兵式的軍樂表演；而事實上是在展館的一處，有個室內小劇場，數十位身着奧斯曼時期軍隊服裝，八字胡的男士，部分官兵手持各式冷兵器，部分則懷揣各式樂器，進行軍樂表演，演奏奧斯曼時期的樂曲，曲調基本都是高亢宏亮的,由於對於此文化，此樂理不甚了解，不少遊客甚至睡着了；

The Harbiye (military) museum is one of the least visited but most interesting museums in Istanbul. When I was teaching English in Turkey one of my students brought me to this museum to see the Mehter concert. In a large auditorium we got to witness a full performance of an Ottoman military band. The Mehter were so famous in their day that they inspired Mozart to write Abduction from the Seraglio.

Far away from the Touristy area of Sultanahmet, the military museum is a huge building with tools/armor/ guns dating back to the Hun period (~500B.C.). Located in Sisli area, it gives you a feel of how the rest of Istanbul lives their daily lives. Very well put together museum as all of the rooms are put together based on Tribe, Time Period and Type of military gear. There are a lot of interactive maps to show how tribes moved and changed, as well as the growth of the ottoman empire. Also at 3pm everyday they have a free performance of a traditional Ottoman military marching band. The museum is Open everyday from 10 to 5pm and entrance is up to 10TL
