但丁故居本是佛羅倫薩城內一座不起眼的小房子，因這裏誕生了偉大的文藝復興的先驅但丁而出名，並被政府開闢為博物館以此紀念這位偉人。故居內擺放着但丁的一些出版物，家族成員的畫像和當時的家庭情景，內部的但丁圖書館則藏有世界各地出版的有關但丁的書籍和文獻，這裏時不時還會舉辦一些關於但丁的研討會。
