Haiyin Temple is the first of the three major Buddhist temples in Korea. The woodcut Buddhist Scripture edition collected by Haiyin Temple was carved from 1237 to 1249, totaling 80,000 editions. It is the most complete early Buddhist Scripture edition preserved in the world. The Changyong Tibetan Jingge, which houses these wood-engraved Scripture boards, was built in the 15th century and is also a masterpiece of science and art. The technology of preserving these woodcut scriptures is amazing.
