達尼丁火車站被譽為是新西蘭最漂亮的火車站，他已經有100多年的歷史，整個建築是典型的英式維多利亞建築。看上去非常的典雅莊重，火車站外的櫻花林，每當櫻花盛開的時候，真的是份外的美麗，絕對是一處拍照的好地方。

但尼丁火車站啟用於1906年。它宏偉、壯觀而富麗堂皇的模樣， 為建築師喬治·楚普贏得了“薑餅喬治”的綽號。楚普按照佛蘭德文藝復興的風格設計了但尼丁火車站， 奧塔哥大學與附近的法院也有類似的設計。提到新西蘭的特色建築，就不得不提到佛蘭德文藝復興運動和但尼丁火車站。火車站內部不大，從正門穿到後門也就二十米。候車廳內有一個小型郵局。如今該火車站多為觀光留影的打卡點，班次並不多。
