弗拉基米爾位於莫斯科東北約190公里處，被譽為古代俄羅斯文化的一顆珠寶。這裏通常也是旅行者開啟金環之旅的第一站，有金門、聖母安息大教堂、德米特里耶夫教堂、涅爾利河口聖母教堂等眾多古迹，被列入世界文化遺產。
