寶山石頭城位於雲南省麗江市玉龍納西族自治縣寶山鄉，地處玉龍雪山東北面的金沙江峽谷之中，面積約0.5平方千米，建在一塊隆起的天然蘑菇狀岩石上，依靠地貌特點建成了一套完整的防禦體系，故名為石頭城，納西語稱為“拉伯魯盤塢”，意為“寶山白石寨”。寶山石頭城東面是金沙江，西邊是氂牛嶺，北方是太子關，南面是岩可渡，四周有重疊連綿的梯田，形成“三山為屏，一面臨江”的險要地勢，石頭城南西北三面皆是懸崖絕壁，東面陡坡直插金沙江，僅有南北兩座石門可供出入。寶山石頭城分內城、外城，城內民居屬典型的納西族木楞房和木瓦房，是研究納西族傳統村落形成發展的典型實例，始建於元至元年間（1264—1294年），是古羌族後裔跨川進滇向南遷移的地點，同時也是束尤氏族入雲南的第一處聚居點。

寶山石頭城位於麗江城北110公里的金沙江峽谷中，因百餘戶人家聚居在一座獨立的蘑菇狀巨石之上而得名。麗江寶山石頭城納西語稱為“拉伯魯盤塢”，意為“寶山白石寨”，城內瓦屋鱗鱗，巷道縱橫，麗江納西族居民辟岩建屋，房屋柱石和房沿石均隨勢打成，古樸自然，奇絕無窮。麗江寶山石頭城三面皆是懸崖絕壁，一面石坡直插金沙江，僅有南北兩座石門可供出入，是一座真正的天險之城。

Photographers can take unique pictures by using the changes of light and shadow in the morning and evening. The highest part of Stone City is a platform with defensive fences for viewing. When we went there was a film crew making the movie Stone City on Clouds, which was also filmed by CCTV. We saw a place where the original stone stove, grinding stone tank and so on were preserved. The Naxi people are diligent and simple. They built a city on stones and built terraces along the mountains along the Jinsha River for self-sufficiency.
