Monkeying around on Gibraltar🇬🇮
I spent a day exploring the Rock of Gibraltar and decided to do as many of the attractions I could on a very hot day !
You can ride a cable car which comfortably transports visitors from Gibraltar up to the Nature Reserve on the Rock.
The top station is located at 412 metres above sea level and the ride from the bottom station at Alameda Gardens takes about 6 minutes. Various walks and hikes to the many sights at the Upper Rock are possible from here. There is also a restaurant and gift shop at the top station.
I purchased a Cable Car and Nature Reserve all day pass which allows you to access all the attractions on the Rock with return Cable car , it’s definitely worth it as there are so many things to see and do , I just didn’t have enough time to do everything unfortunately.
The skywalk was awesome and standing 349 metres directly above sea level ,it’s located higher than London’s the Shard.
Gibraltar’s Skywalk offers 360degree views spanning 3 countries and 2 continents and links to the other sites in the Nature Reserve Upper Rock, including the famous Apes Den and Windsor Bridge via a series of walking trails.
The Windsor Suspension Bridge, not for the faint hearted spans 70 meters over a deep ravine , the Windsor Bridge is one of Gibraltar’s newest attractions, located between two World War II artillery batteries and offering some wonderful views , the bridge is a great stop along your journey through the Nature Reserve.
Opening hours-May- September 9.30am-7.00pm
October-April 9.00am-6.00pm
