We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Smadar Inn. The location is fantastic and meant that we could literally walk a few steps to find somewhere to eat our evening meals. Breakfast was good - eggs, salads and bread - but if staying for longer than 2 days, I would expect a change in the menu. Our room, with a small balcony, was lovely but could have done with a better clean before our arrival. The shelves were dusty, as was under the bed, and there were a few places in the bathroom that could have been done better. I would have liked the room to be made up on Friday morning and fresh towels put out to replace the damp ones. It was a nice touch to find a bottle of wine and chocolates in the room. Finally, I enjoyed a swim in the pool a couple of times. The heated water was nice and it was a big plus to find a hotel in the centre of Zichron with a swimming pool. However, like a few places at the hotel, there are tiles missing from the pool itself and the decking badly needs a varnish. Basically, the place is nice, the staff are friendly but for the high price we paid, it needs a renovation.

Perfect place to stay in Zichron and from which to explore the area. It’s steps from the pedestrian area but incredibly private. Just a handful of rooms but with everything you need and tons of lovely touches including the family’s signature wine. Speaking of family, the people who run this inn are absolutely lovely! Helpful, friendly, fun to chat with and they serve a fantastic breakfast! Will definitely be back!
